Most of the personal information we process is provided to us by you, the organisation we are working with under contract in order to undertake an investigation or deliver training or directly by those individuals who will be asked to provide statements etc. for one of the following reasons:
- Performance of a contract
- Legitimate interest
Data is collected when you contact us through our website, by telephone, email or through any other means.
We do not give or sell your personal data to any third party. Where required Investigations+ may share this information with professional bodies, the Police, fraud prevention agencies, solicitors, insurance companies and partner advisory organisations to help tackle fraud or where we are legally required by law to disclose your personal information.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information
Your electronic information is securely stored on Microsoft’s OneDrive to ensure Microsoft’s enhanced security is utilised.
Any information held in paper format is stored in a locked filing cabinet and can only be accessed by employees of Investigations+ to allow them to fulfil their duties.
We keep your electronic and paper personal information only as long as legally required for the purposes we collect it. We will then dispose of your electronic information by deleting it permanently from One Drive and of your paper information by shredding it ensuring that no personal information can be extracted from the shredded paper.
Our website does not capture or store any of your personal information unless it is submitted by you through our website contact forms. Any information you provide will be used only by us and will remain confidential being held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
